GEOINT Instructor – TS/SCI Required (This position will require a CI Poly once you are selected for the position)
Overall Assignment Description:
Deliver in-resident and distance learning instructional programs in accordance with course requirements as a senior-level instructor. Use instructional methods such as guided discussions, lectures, demonstrations, small group exercises, seminars, workshops, and laboratories. Use instructional technology, including Blackboard. Conduct assessment strategies in accordance with the course design, including instructor observation, testing, and grading. Provide formal and informal student feedback. Provide subject matter expertise throughout the curriculum creation process, including content review and feedback to development staff. Build networks within NGA directorates to include but not limited to Analysis, Source, and Research.
Required Skills and Demonstrated Experience:
- At least 4 years of relevant instructor experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant GEOINT experience and BA or BS Degree in area of expertise or related discipline – OR – minimum of 20 years of relevant GEOINT experience
- Recent experience analyzing and interpreting GEOINT data to support U.S. military and policymaker’s interest
- Demonstrate knowledge of the breadth of the GEOINT products and service that NGA produces
- Experience with GEOINT tools, product creation, and mission support
- Ability to combine an understanding of geospatial data and imagery analysis to characterize events, discover relationships and trends, and produce GEOINT
- Demonstrated knowledge of the national imagery exploitation processes, policies, and production cycles and the principles and applications of geographic information systems
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Master’s Degree
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: Human Geography, Activity Based Intelligence, Critical Thinking, GEOINT writing, Cyber GEOINT, Geospatial Analysis, Imagery Analysis and Foundation GEOINT
- Demonstrated strong working knowledge of ESRI GIS software and extensions and NGA, DoD, Federal, and Commercial data sources, standards, and models
- Working knowledge of the application of GIS and analysis of geospatial data to solve intelligence problems that may face the DoD or the IC
- Fundamental knowledge of the principles and applications of imagery interpretation, digital image processing systems, collections, and sensor phenomenology
- Experience maintaining a database
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
