Business Development Executive - Outside Sales
The Business Development Specialist is a key driver of market growth and profitability, focused on enhancing our customers’ market position and achieving sustainable financial success. This role emphasizes long-term strategic goals, building vital customer relationships, identifying and securing business opportunities, and managing extensive knowledge of current market trends and conditions. You’ll oversee the sales pipeline from prospecting through to closing and will manage the full sales cycle for services such as landscape (and, regionally, snow) sales. Collaborating closely with teams across operations, finance, marketing, and beyond, you’ll work to meet and exceed sales targets by managing responses to bids and creating meaningful customer connections.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with prospective customers to identify and resolve their unique needs and challenges, developing tailored solutions.
- Accurately forecast sales deliverables and KPI targets.
- Meet or exceed sales goals while maintaining the ability to work independently.
- Utilize consultative sales techniques to build lasting business relationships, including prospecting, marketing, and pricing strategies.
- Engage in frequent phone prospecting, conduct sales presentations and virtual demonstrations, and negotiate contracts with minimal supervision.
- Leverage solution-based selling techniques to showcase the value of our services effectively.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both new prospects and existing clients.
- Build trust-based, professional relationships with key decision-makers.
- Plan and execute daily tasks, meeting specific activity benchmarks to close deals successfully.
- Consistently log activities and manage customer information within a CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
- Operate with a high sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactively communicate with key decision-makers and influencers throughout the sales process.
