Summary:
Kapur is seeking a Construction Technician who will be responsible for serving as an on-site inspector overseeing various aspects of the construction project.
Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site inspection for construction projects.
- Perform materials testing, take measurements, and record work quantities.
- Perform engineering calculations and assist with project documentation.
- Perform basic survey duties on construction projects.
- Assist Engineers with day-to-day tasks.
- Work cooperatively with project managers, engineers, technicians, and contractors.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology
- Familiarity with WisDOT and local agency procedures for design and construction.
- WisDOT Highway Technician Certification Program (HTCP) certifications or ability to obtain desirable.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Strong work ethic
- Time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to recognize and communicate issues as the arise.
- Works within precise limits or standards of accuracy
- Ability to work in variable weather conditions (rain, heat, snow, etc.) for work outdoors in
addition to nights and weekends.
- Ability to lift and/or move objects that can range from 20 to 60 pounds while moving testing equipment or material samples

Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
