We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role is vital to our growth as it directly impacts our ability to deliver projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, a passion for the remodeling industry, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate construction estimates using software such as Bluebeam and/or PlanSwift.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine project costs.
• Research and source pricing from vendors and trade partners.
• Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of historical cost data and pricing trends.
• Prepare and present bid proposals, cost summaries, and scope of work documents.
• Evaluate subcontractor bids for accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with project managers to refine estimates as project details evolve.
• Ensure all estimates align with local building codes and regulations.
• Participate in post-estimate job cost reviews to assess accuracy and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of construction cost control principles and practices.
• Proficiency in using estimating software like Bluebeam; experience with additional tools such as PlanSwift is a plus.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with local building codes and industry regulations.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
