Our Accounting team is committed to ensuring accurate and compliant finance practices. We partner with all internal Karat teams and support clients throughout the world by prioritizing operational excellence and consistency.
What you will do
As a Senior Revenue Accountant, you will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate revenue recognition, as well as support strategic initiatives and financial planning and analysis.
This is a fully remote position, but we are only considering U.S.-based candidates in Illinois, Oregon, Texas, or Washington. Working hours will predominantly be Central Time; some meetings may overlap with more global timezones.

- Own the day-to-day of the revenue accounting process, ensuring compliance with GAAP (ASC 606). This includes, but is not limited to:
- Reviewing revenue contracts and agreements
- Performing regular audits along the entire revenue stream
- Working cross-functionally with various stakeholders to ensure monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue reporting is accurate and complete
- Perform invoicing and collection functions for the company.
- Participate in the planning and implementing of accounting, billing, and other business systems.
- Work with partners in Go-to-Market and Accounting to ensure sales commissions are calculated and recorded accurately.
The experience you will bring
- 7 years of experience in accounting
- Hands-on experience with revenue accounting, billing systems, and billing processes required
- Experience working with Sage Intacct a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (working with senior management in a heavy written environment (Slack, email) preferred)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
