We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Security Officer to join our team in Muskegon, MI. The ideal candidate will have experience in security, be a licensed security guard, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol and monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises
- Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary
- Escort or drive motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid security guard license
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
