Description
Starting Salary $105,000.00 per year based on experience.

- Oversees compliance with federal, state (New Jersey and Pennsylvania) and local regulatory requirements; understands the legal implications of hospice practices.
- Maintains a working knowledge of legislative activities regarding hospice and interprets same to governing board and to staff.
- Continually assesses programs and services to ensure identified community needs are met. Develops and implements the organization's plans for providing hospice and bereavement services.
- Ensures quality of care / services, meets or exceeds accreditation requirements, and performance improvement of hospice and bereavement programs through the continuous quality improvement program. Submits quarterly reports to the Board of Directors.
- Participates in the development of all policies and procedures.
- Measures and assesses visit / revenue reports and implements strategies to improve delivery of hospice services.
- Provides data and information to the Board and the Strategic Planning Committee for the formulation of the strategic plan annually; provides bi-annual status reports to the Board of Directors.
- Prepares annual budget and allocation of funds based on reviews of program estimations and recommendations in conjunction with the Finance Committee, Administrator, Directors and Department Managers.
- Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional growth and development to keep abreast of trends in hospice services.
- Demonstrates an awareness of the ethical, legal and economic issues that could impact the programs of the organization
and keeps Board members and staff informed of same.
Position Requirements
Required Skills / Abilities :
Education and Experience :
Required Education : Master's Degree in a healthcare related field.
Preferred Education : MSN, MPH, MPA or MSW.
Required Experience : At least four years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare environment with knowledge of hospice; responsibility for administrative supervision; prior experience working with board of trustees.
Preferred Experience : In addition,2 years of experience working in a hospice organization.
