Structural Engineer
Karen Clark & Company (KCC) seeks structural engineering professionals to join our growing team of catastrophe model developers. In this position, you will work closely with scientists and other engineers to build out our global suite of advanced catastrophe models.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain building vulnerability models for different perils such as earthquakes, hurricanes, wildfires, floods, etc.
- Collect, compile, and analyze catastrophe loss data
- Perform validation tests on model loss estimates
- Prepare technical documents and presentations related to scientific models
- Perform tasks related to KCC's Live Event response, which includes creating event footprints, estimating insured losses, and conducting post-event damage surveys for natural disasters around the world
