What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Electrical Engineer position at Kargo?

Our loading dock sensor platform verifies all incoming and outgoing freight, aggregating data that enables shippers and carriers to efficiently manage dock operations, switch out suppliers and understand material flow in real time.

Responsibilities
- Own all electrical systems across Kargo products including camera system, compute, power, battery, and networking.
- Work with external design partners to develop custom electronics to specification.
- Circuit board design (including part selection, circuit design and simulation, schematic capture, and layout review).
- Deliver on full lifecycle electronic design from initial concept through to production.
- Work cross functionally with mechanical, firmware, optics, and software teams.
- Own board and system level bring-up testing and characterization.
- Design and prototype cable assembly and wire harness systems, from prototype through mass production.
- Low level firmware development for bring-up and test.
