Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and expertise. You will align customer expectations with service offerings while facilitating communication between the service department and customers.
Pay offered is a guaranteed base plus monthly commission. Benefits include paid time-off, paid holidays, health insurance options, employee discounts, and a 401K match up to 4%.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of services required, including tire service, brake repair, etc.
- Communicate and listen to customers to accurately identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Prepare and transmit service repair orders to technicians, ensuring clarity and completeness.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of dealership policies and procedures related to auto service management.
- Assist in automotive sales by promoting additional services that enhance vehicle performance and safety.
- Document all customer interactions in the service writing system for future reference.
- Communicate with parts department to ensure parts needed are stocked or ordered.
- Monitor repair progress and update customers frequently.
- Communicate with team to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Answer phones and emails to help set appointments for customers.
- Recount vehicle repairs and inspection report with customer and collect payment.
Skills
- Ability to align customer needs with available services while providing exceptional customer service.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey information to service team and customers.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in auto service or dealership environments is preferred but not required.
- Must have ability to learn new computer systems. Familiarity with service writing software or similar tools is a plus.
- Must have valid driver's license.
- Must pass a background check.
