Cardiac Stress Testing Nurse

Karing Hearts Cardiology is currently seeking employment of a full time Stress Lab Nurse (LPN or RN will be considered) for our Johnson City practice. General duties include:

· Review patient’s chart prior to patient appointment time

· Pre-screen each patient undergoing diagnostic stress testing

· Ensure patient consent has been obtained and documented prior to performing testing

· Prepare patient for testing: starting IVs as necessary and placing monitoring equipment

· Directly assess, evaluate, and monitor patients during cardiac stress testing

· Evaluate electrocardiograms and recognize changes, abnormalities, and arrhythmias

· Collaborate with physicians and report significant changes as needed based on patient’s status prior to, during, and after stress testing

· Administer medications as ordered

· Ensure proper supplies are stocked and request supplies be ordered as needed

· Prepares preliminary reports for final interpretation by the cardiologist
