Financial Controller

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices, and the ability to analyze financial data to support informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the accounting department, including overseeing accounts receivable and payroll functions.
• Prepare and present monthly financial statements and reports to management.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in the reconciliation of accounts.
• Perform in-depth account analysis to assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain the general ledger accounting system, ensuring all entries are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to protect company assets and ensure operational efficiency.

Skills

• Proficiency in accounting software (Paylocity, Preferred)
• Strong expertise in financial analysis techniques and accounting principles.
• Proven experience with balance sheet reconciliation and account reconciliation processes.
• Excellent analytical abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong organizational abilities and the capability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a focus on continuous process improvement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
