Job Description:
The Store Manager will oversee all of the daily operations of the store. They will manage the store’s employees, including hiring, performance evaluation, scheduling, overall employee retention and assigning duties and responsibilities. The Store Manager will be responsible for maintaining the overall culture “Karl’s Culture” of the store and to ensure the staff also represents and embraces the “Karl’s” culture and goals. They will oversee the operational and organizational standards of the store as well as implementing the Corporations marketing, advertising and financial strategy. The Store Manager will regular review the daily, weekly, quarterly and yearly financial data of the store to ensure the store and staff is meeting their financial quotas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Education of sales staff via regular meetings: set and follow merchandising plans, relay ongoing rebates and financing programs.
- Making sure that any correspondence from corporate needing to filter to store team is relayed in a timely fashion.
- Daily floor walks are to be completed in each area insuring all needed products are displayed, staged, tagged and priced correctly.
- Work closely with all personnel to correct any inventory overages and or shortages in a timely fashion.
- Make sure all point of purchase material is properly displayed and on time, all old and expired material should be destroyed immediately.
- Maintain contact with our nationwide buying group website to regularly receive rebates, financing code and pricing information, and any other programming questions.
- Maintain and update our web-portal as it relates to our incoming Karl’s website inquiries.
- Work closely with the Karl’s management team to identify and resolve any product or display concerns.
- Oversight of all warehouse operations including delivery personnel, delivery schedules and any receivables from other warehouse locations.
- Maintain a regular maintenance of schedule for all company vehicles, and follow all company policies as it relates to vehicle use.
- Work closely with all sales-personnel helping them with any and all sales, and customer issues.
- Maintain a clean, healthy and presentable store at all times with the help of all personnel.
- Review all daily receiving documents making sure all correct products are displayed at all times.
- Make sure all store hours are covered to include coverage for lunches, dinners ect..
- Shop all local competition on a regular basis along with all sales associates.
- Handle any customer issues in a courteous and concerned manner, ultimately resolving all problems.
- Maintain regular in-store and vendor trainings.
- Communicate concerns with inventory levels, closeout opportunities, incentives and invoicing in a timely manner.
- Work closely with Corporate Staff to resolve all “Return to Vendor”, inoperable, serviceable, broken and all other non-sellable items.
- Complete inventories as directed in a timely manner and report findings to Corporate Staff.
- Ensure Accounts Receivables are paid timely and all bad checks are addressed immediately.
- Expenses and Invoices are coded and sent to corporate immediately upon receiving them.
- Keep all policies and procedures in tact at all times.
- Complete all the day –to-day cash, check, financing documents and all stores banking responsibilities.
- As an ambassador of the Karl’s Company proper attire and cleanliness must also be maintained at all times.

Work experience requirements:
- Able to use computers and applications such as Word and Excel
- Able to lift 75 lbs. on occasion for sales floor maintenance
- Able to use hand trucks and dollies efficiently
- Excellent customer service demeanor
