Position Summary
The Vice President of Process is a key leadership role at KARM Stores, LLC, responsible for overseeing the operational success of multiple thrift store locations while protecting the organizational health of the company. This position focuses on leading, developing, and caring for the Directors of individual regions, ensuring they are empowered to achieve operational goals, foster team alignment, and uphold the mission of KARM Stores. The Vice President of Process and Vice Presidents of People and Product play a pivotal role in driving excellence, cultivating leadership, and supporting the organization's mission.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Store Directors across multiple locations.
- Foster a culture of trust, collaboration, and accountability within the leadership team.
- Invest in the professional and personal development of Store Directors by providing coaching, training, and resources to enable their success.
- Build leadership capacity by identifying and cultivating emerging leaders within the organization.
Operational Oversight
- Ensure consistent operational excellence across all thrift store locations.
- Partner with Vice Presidents and Directors to optimize staffing, inventory management, customer service, and financial performance.
- Champion the implementation of best practices and operational standards throughout the stores.
- Conduct regular visits to store locations to provide hands-on support, identify opportunities for improvement, and celebrate successes.
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Collaborate with SMCo Leadership to develop and execute strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Drive operational performance by setting and achieving targets for revenue, profitability, and efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure store-level alignment with regional and organizational priorities.
- Lead the execution of initiatives and projects to support business growth and mission impact.
Culture and Mission Alignment
- Uphold and promote the mission of KARM Stores, ensuring all operations reflect the organization’s values and purpose.
- Serve as a spiritual leader and mentor, encouraging the integration of faith into leadership and daily operations.
- Act as a role model demonstrating servant leadership and a commitment to community impact.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of leadership experience, including multi-site retail or operations management.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and coach high-performing teams.
