What are the responsibilities and job description for the Urgently Hiring ON CALL Caregivers position at Karma Homecare?
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable On-Call Caregiver to join our team. As an On-Call Caregiver, you will play a critical role in providing quality care for our clients by stepping in to fill shifts when a scheduled caregiver is unavailable due to illness, emergency, or other reasons. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to clients in accordance with their care plans and needs.
- Step in for scheduled caregivers on short notice due to call-offs or emergency situations.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, helping them feel comfortable and safe.
- Monitor and document changes in client conditions and report to supervisors as needed.
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medical appointments when necessary.
- Ensure the environment is safe and tidy, supporting client mobility and independence.
- Collaborate with other caregivers and family members to ensure continuity of care.
- Follow all company policies and healthcare regulations to maintain quality care.
Requirements:
- Ability to respond quickly and efficiently to call-off situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Reliable transportation to commute to client homes.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
