Summary

Responsibilities
Technical Strategy & Solutions Architecture:
- Act as a technical solutions architect, identifying and developing the best-fit solutions for customer requirements.
- Work closely with engineering and business development teams to shape technical approaches for proposals and presentations.
- Lead the development of technical white papers and responses to RFIs.
- Support customer engagements by providing technical expertise in meetings, presentations, and demonstrations.
- Serve as the primary technical intermediary between BD, engineering, and program teams.
- Develop relationships with potential customers to understand their technical needs and challenges.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Works closely with VP, Programs and Engineering to Identify and coordinate internal technical resources to support BD and proposal efforts.
- Contribute as a technical lead for select proposals, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company capabilities.
- Develop and review technical sections of proposals to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and competitiveness.
- Support capture teams by identifying innovative technical solutions and emerging technologies.
- Ensure that proposals include realistic technical execution strategies and risk mitigation plans.
- Maintain accurate CRM records with a focus on tracking opportunities and customer engagements.
- Generate pipeline reports and analytics to support BD decision-making.
- Track key performance metrics, including win/loss ratios and opportunity status.
- Establish and maintain best practices for integrating engineering expertise into BD efforts.
- Participate in internal reviews to assess lessons learned and improve future proposals.
- Support training efforts to enhance BD team proficiency in technical solution development.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 7-12 years in a technical role within the space or defense industry, preferably with business development exposure.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, BD, and program management.
- Demonstrated experience developing technical solutions for defense, aerospace, or related sectors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, proposal development, and government contracting processes.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Up to 20-30% travel required for customer engagements and technical solution development.

Salary : $180,000 - $200,000
