What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aero-Thermal Analyst III+ (U.S. Citizen) position at Karman Space & Defense?
S UMMARY
The aerothermal analyst’s role will apply engineering principles to support the design, development, and final verification across a variety of aerospace and defense development programs. The aerothermal analyst will lead the analysis, design, and optimization of aerodynamic and thermal systems for varied defense platforms. This role requires expertise in aerodynamics, thermal modeling, and materials to ensure performance and reliability in extreme environments. Other common tasks include using FEA to model heat transfer, modelling pyrotechnic & pneumatic gas dynamics, and multi-body kinematics of deployable systems. The analyst will often work independently within a small, fast-moving team. Excellent organization, collaboration, and communication skills are essential parts of the job.
Pay Band: $110,000 - $165,000 DOE
Compensation & Benefits
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities. The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant. However, employees who have access to the compensation information of other employees or applicants as a part of their essential job functions cannot disclose the pay of other employees or applicants to individuals who do not otherwise have access to compensation information, unless the disclosure is (a) in response to a formal complaint or charge, (b) in furtherance of an investigation, proceeding, hearing, or action, including an investigation conducted by the employer, or (c) consistent with the contractor’s legal duty to furnish information.
