The Test Engineer II leads test planning, set-up, execution and reporting, interacts effectively with customers, and collaborates with program managers, engineers and technicians. Reports to the Team Lead.

- Assists in the day to day operations of the Test Lab and engineering tests
- Assists with maintaining and improving test equipment and lab space
- Works with a team to ensure that project goals are completed on time and within budget
- Develops test methods, fixtures and apparatus for engineering tests
- Plans and executes development, documentation, verification and validation tests of mechanical and/or pyrotechnic components or systems
- Performs selection, set-up and validation of data acquisition and sensors, including pressure transducers, accelerometers, thermocouples, strain gages, etc.
- Captures photography and videography of highly dynamic mechanical and/or pyrotechnic systems, including still pictures, real-time video and high-speed video
- Conducts post-processing of test data, including plotting and analysis of engineering data and compilation of test videos
- Documents and presents test results in reports, slide presentations or other communications to customers or management
- Required: Associates Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or related field)
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or related field)
- Ideal candidates will typically possess 3-7 years of relevant experience in aerospace and/or defense test environments, preferably including exposure to pyrotechnic and electromechanical systems
- Demonstrated experience leading product development tests, including qualification test series
- Proficient in the use of data acquisition systems and instrumentation
- Self-motivated, able to multi-task, work independently on assignments with minimal oversight or direction, quality-oriented and safety conscious
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must hold OR be able to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance

Salary : $95,000 - $114,400
