What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Writer - Federal Government Information Security Documentation position at Karsun Solutions, LLC?
As a Technical Writer, you will be part of a team supporting our FAA customer.
- Use templates as provided by the Security Team to prepare documentation used in Security Assessments
- Interview information stewards, product support managers, and technical leads/developers as needed
- Attend Security Assessment meetings and other meetings as assigned
- Prepare, edit, and review Privacy Office documentation as needed
- Upload prepared documents to the proper Security Assessment site
- Assist other members of the Security Team as needed
- Participate in Information Security training opportunities
Required:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, math, and/or science degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
- Federal Government Information Security Documentation experience.
- The ability to write in clear and concise language that is compliant and responsive to requirements.
- The ability to work collaboratively with solutions architects and subject matter experts, and capture key concepts and ideas, maintain consistency in tone and voice, and use proper English, syntax and grammar.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate with positive impact.
- Ability to adapt to schedule changes & slips, project re-scopes, and customer directed changes to ensure compliant product delivery.
- The successful candidate will be able to join new projects quickly and work effectively with a diverse group of others.
- Teamwork is an essential quality, as is the ability to work effectively while under tight deadlines.
- The ability to successfully obtain and maintain a U.S. Suitability/Public Trust Background Clearance

In accordance with pay transparency guidelines, the proposed salary range for this position is $52,000 to $67,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors such as relevant skills, experience and certifications.
