What are the responsibilities and job description for the AfterCare Teacher position at Karter Schools?
Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
As the After-Care Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall operations of our program. Your responsibilities will include:
- Program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Supervising and supporting after-school staff, including instructors and support personnel.
- Ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborating with school personnel, parents, and guardians to maintain open communication and address any concerns.
- Developing and leading engaging enrichment activities that align with our program's goals and curriculum.
- Providing academic support and homework assistance to students as needed.
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as attendance tracking, record-keeping, and reporting.
- Contributing to the creation of a positive and motivating atmosphere that fosters students' personal and social development.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in an after-school program, educational setting, or youth development.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic administrative tasks.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
