Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of 20 hotel-style units within our short-term rental property. The housekeeper will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining common areas to ensure a high standard of hygiene and presentation for guests. The ideal candidate should have experience in hospitality cleaning, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:Guest Room & Unit Cleaning:
- Perform full turnover cleaning of units after guest check-outs, including:
- Changing and laundering linens and towels
- Dusting and sanitizing surfaces
- Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchens
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Restocking amenities, toiletries, and kitchen supplies
- Inspect each unit for damages, missing items, or maintenance issues and report them to management.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed according to hotel-quality standards and checklists.
Common Area Cleaning:
- Regularly clean and maintain lobby, hallways, stairwells, elevators, and shared spaces.
- Keep high-touch surfaces sanitized (e.g., door handles, light switches, and common furniture).
- Empty trash bins and ensure proper waste disposal in both guest units and shared areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and restock supplies in any guest lounges, laundry rooms, or public restrooms.
General Duties:
- Follow property-specific cleaning protocols and comply with health and safety standards.
- Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are maintained and properly stored.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to meet turnaround time expectations for guest check-ins.
- Assist in deep cleaning tasks as scheduled by the Property Manager.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when encountering guests.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping experience in hotels, short-term rentals, or hospitality settings preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning checklists.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under time constraints.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices for sanitation.
- Basic communication skills in English (preferred).
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $15.87 per hour
Expected hours: 60 – 80 per week
