Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Create purchase orders, send to vendors, receive and review acknowledgments.
- Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time, and in the event of problems trace shipments and follow up on undelivered goods.
- Respond to vendor questions by email and phone.
- Work with vendors for shipping methods to reduce freight costs.
- Negotiate or renegotiate prices with vendors.
- Receive product and ensure it is correctly entered into the system.
- Assist in inventory control, including creating physical count sheets and making inventory adjustments.
- Analyze receiving log to ensure inventory transactions are properly recorded.
- Maintain documents on Sharepoint.
- Provide international shipping information to vendors as requested.
- Meet with vendors.
- Analyze MRP reports to determine parts and quantities to order.
- Daily interaction with purchasing, accounting, production, warehouse, and engineering personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of O365 a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stay focused with multiple interruptions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a professional and courteous manner.
- Willingness to learn and take on new projects and responsibilities. The position has potential for growth.
- HS Diploma required. College degree preferred.
- Willing to work during core office hours.
