Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC lathes to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate CNC lathes, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
- Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for each job, including lathe tooling.
- Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to inspect finished products for accuracy.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
- Collaborate with team members for tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience operating CNC lathes is required; familiarity with Mazak controls is preferred.
- Knowledge of machining processes, including turning machines.
- Experience in a warehouse setting is a plus, particularly with forklift operation.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using Mazatrol is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
