CNC Mill Operator Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Set-Up & Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and be proficient in Set-Up & operation of milling machines. This role involves machining precision parts and components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process. The CNC Mill Set-Up/Operator will work closely with engineers and other team members to optimize production efficiency and maintain equipment.
Responsibilities
- Set-Up CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines per provided blueprint according to specifications.
- Set up and adjust machine tools, to ensure accurate machining.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints, applying GD&T principles as necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance on milling machines and troubleshoot any operational issues.
- Utilize CAM programming for efficient machine operation and part production.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve workflow.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed for material handling.
Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Mill Set-Up/Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with machining processes.
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques and warehouse operations is preferred.
- Experience with CAM programming software is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
