Now Hiring: Marine Field Service Diesel Technician III
Location:Morgan City,LA
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Starting Pay Rate: Hiring Bonus (after first 6 weeks)
Schedule: 14 days on / 7 days off (12-16 hour days)
OT Guaranteed: 48 hours weekly, regardless of workload
About the Role:
We are seeking experienced Marine Diesel Technicians to perform high-horsepower engine repairs and overhauls. This role requires flexibility, a strong mechanical background, and the ability to respond to on-call emergency repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Perform internal engine repairs & overhauls on heavy-duty marine diesel engines
✔ Troubleshoot fuel systems, after-treatment systems, & wet manifolds
✔ Conduct sea trials after every repair
✔ Travel to job sites within 2 hours of the shop (initially)
✔ Ride with another technician in a service truck to job sites
Requirements:
High-horsepower diesel engine experience (MUST HAVE)
Strong background in heavy-duty engines & internal engine repair
Experience with fuel systems, troubleshooting, & overhauls
Ability to be on-call & respond to emergencies (must be within 30-60 minutes of shop)
TWIC card & passport are a plus (for potential future international travel)
