About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic HSE Engineer/Manager for a small facility in Seattle, WA. This is a hands-on role that combines managerial responsibilities with floor-level HSE implementation. The ideal candidate is passionate about safety, eager to lead by example, and comfortable balancing strategy with day-to-day execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead site-wide HSE initiatives, inspections, incident investigations, and data gathering
• Champion injury prevention programs (ergonomics, industrial hygiene, LOTO, environmental) aligned with OSHA, EPA/DNR, and Cummins standards
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and evaluate environmental aspects
• Implement and maintain control systems to reduce or eliminate risk
• Deliver effective HSE training and internal communication programs
• Interpret health, safety, and environmental data to drive improvements
• Participate in site audits and annual HSEMS reviews
• Mentor and coach employees on HSE best practices
• Engage in professional development to stay abreast of emerging trends

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or Environmental Science (or equivalent)
• HSE certification (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA/DNR, and HSEMS standards
• Comfortable with hands-on, floor-level HSE engagement
• Strong leadership, communication, and training skills

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
