Diesel Technician

Job Title: DIESEL TECHNICIAN

Location: Memphis, TN.

Duration: Full time permeant

Pay Rate: $36- $38/hr. On W2

Seeking Advanced Technician With Internal Engine Experience Including Overhauls.Only candidates with medium range (RV's, Bus, etc), and heavy-duty experience will be considered. Candidates that have experience working with construction heavy machinery engines, Trains, Ships, and Bulldozers will be considered as well.

Responsibilities:

Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop.

Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.

Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.

Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products.

Maintain own tools

Skills:

Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools.

Larger more complicated engine rebuilds.

Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation.

Internal engine repairs, electrical proficiency, aftertreatment system, fuel system and air handlings

EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS

Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE

Advanced level of workshop experience required

Advanced knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

Note:

This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
