Job Title: Senior Marine Diesel Technician

Schedule: 14 days on, 7 days off; Expect to work 12-16 hours/day
Overtime: Guaranteed 48 hours weekly, regardless of workload
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Marine Diesel Technician to join our team. This role requires expertise in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of high-horsepower marine diesel engines. Candidates must be comfortable working on-call, including nights and weekends, with the ability to report to the shop within 30-60 minutes.
Technicians will drive their own vehicle to the shop and then travel with a team in a service truck to job sites. A sea trial is required after every repair, and candidates must be open to participating. Initial travel will be within a 2-hour radius along the Gulf Coast, with potential for national and international assignments for higher-level technicians. A TWIC card and passport are a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair high-horsepower marine diesel engines
- Perform internal engine repairs, overhauls, and fuel system maintenance
- Work on after-treatment systems, wet manifolds, and advanced troubleshooting
- Conduct sea trials post-repair to ensure operational readiness
- Maintain and update service records accurately
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, on-call environment
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in high-horsepower diesel engines (marine or industrial)
- Strong knowledge of internal engine repair and overhauls
- Expertise in fuel systems, after-treatment systems, and wet manifolds
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty diesel engines
- Must be available for on-call shifts and travel as needed
- Valid driver’s license required
- TWIC card and passport preferred (not mandatory)
