Position Details
Job Title: Field Service Power Generation Technician Level II (Direct Hire)
Location - Memphis, TN
Salary: $55,200 - $72,800 per year sign-on bonus
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7 AM – 4 PM; no weekends (on-call rotation once a month for about a week; overtime available)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Power Generation Technician Level II to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years’ industrial experience with direct diesel engine work on large generators (4kW-2000kW, some up to 2500kW) and possess expertise in both mechanical and electrical maintenance. Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, conducting repairs using hand and power tools, and troubleshooting equipment issues with minimal supervision. You will also engage with customers professionally, complete accurate documentation, and participate in a fast-track training process based on your experience.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 8 years of industrial experience with large diesel engines
- Experience with new unit installations, commissioning, switch gear, and paralleling is a plus
- Must be capable of working on both the engine and electrical components
- Valid driver’s license, clean 5-year motor vehicle report, and ability to pass a DOT physical
- Candidates are responsible for their own relocation expenses due to a relocation freeze
Candidates will be subject to pre-employment background screening, including a criminal background check and work experience verification. Interviews will be conducted onsite when the manager is ready.
