Job Title: Production Test Technician Level 3
Location: Coraopolis, Pennsylvania
Job Summary
Sensia is seeking a highly skilled Production Test Technician Level 3 to join our team. The primary role of this position is to test and troubleshoot Sensia Electronic Assemblies to the board and component level as needed. The selected candidate will act as the primary Manufacturing liaison with Sensia’s Customers and Engineering Department during intensive customer-witnessed Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to ensuring quality and safety in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test and troubleshoot electronic assemblies to the board and component level.
- Read and interpret technical documentation, wiring charts, and operating instructions.
- Perform excellent soldering and wiring to ensure product functionality and durability.
- Identify and correct deficiencies during development and testing.
- Address material shortages and work with the materials group to expedite necessary components.
- Work as a liaison between the manufacturing team and Sensia’s customers and engineering department.
- Ensure that all test data is accurately recorded, stored, and retrievable.
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Support production scheduling, sales orders, and shop orders to meet deadlines.
- Identify and procure necessary tools for efficient assembly and testing.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Electronics Test Certification, or equivalent experience.
- Strong proficiency in troubleshooting digital and analog circuits to the component level.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation and engineering drawings.
- Excellent soldering and wiring skills.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to document and correct deficiencies during development and testing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.
- Must be self-sufficient in performing all duties.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience generating and reviewing technical drawings, procedures, and bills of materials.
- Ability to design and implement circuit modifications for obsolete components.
- Experience designing and building test fixtures for new and existing products.
- Ability to generate and manage databases/tracking mechanisms for test data.
- Familiarity with scheduling production requirements and managing sales/shop orders.
- Previous experience as a manufacturing liaison with engineering teams.
- Knowledge of user acceptance testing and quality assurance.
