We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician Level 4 to join our team in Mequon, WI. This role focuses on ensuring product integrity, developing quality standards, and improving manufacturing processes through data-driven decision-making.

Duration: 6 Months
Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician Level 4 to support a special project in the SD MEQ Pwr & Pkg Dev department. The role involves assisting in the design, testing, modification, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems and experimental design circuitry.

The Engineering Technician will work with analog, digital, and video circuits and logic systems while using schematics, diagrams, layouts, and defined plans for troubleshooting and testing. This role also involves operational testing, fault isolation, and assisting in the construction of specialized test equipment.

The ideal candidate will frequently interact with peers and stakeholders to exchange technical information, requiring strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities. The role demands independent judgment and initiative to determine methods and procedures for assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Perform design, testing, troubleshooting, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems.
• Work with analog, digital, and video circuits, logic systems, and experimental design.
• Utilize oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus for troubleshooting.
• Assist in determining methods to resolve malfunctions and improve designs.
• Conduct high-voltage electrical testing and circuit board soldering.
• Fabricate and assemble components for prototype development.
• Communicate technical findings effectively with peers and stakeholders.
• Apply sound judgment and initiative to develop solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of related experience in engineering, electronics, or product development.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Hands-on experience with high-voltage electrical testing, circuit board soldering, oscilloscopes, and DMMs.
• Knowledge of circuitry, electro-mechanical systems, fabrication, and experimental design.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with generators, remedy applications, and assembly.
• Ability to work independently and lead informal teams when needed.

Additional Information:

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Sponsorship will not be provided.
• The position requires on-site work in Mequon, WI.
