Manufacturing Engineer Technician – Skill Tech Level III
Location: Ladson, SC
Schedule: 100% Onsite | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Overtime as Required)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Technician – Skill Tech Level III to support new product development at our Charleston Turbo Plant. This role focuses on assembly and testing operations, including new equipment installations, troubleshooting, and modifications to enhance production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Manufacturing Engineers in new product development for assembly and test areas.
- Support new equipment installations and modify existing assembly stations.
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and tooling/fixturing issues in assembly cells.
- Participate in engineering trial builds and prepare assembly lines for new product integration.
- Collaborate with Plant TPM, Prototype Shop, and external suppliers on tooling design and outsourced components.
- Manage capital projects related to assembly and test operations.
- Train associates on new or modified workstations.
- Update control documents and station documentation.
- Work with high-tech automation systems, including vision systems, laser systems, torque tools, falsifying technology, and robotic systems.
- Program and troubleshoot electrical and control systems for assembly stations.
- Provide flexibility for upfits and new program installations, often scheduled on weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Mechatronics Technician in a high-volume assembly process.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with advanced manufacturing technology.
- Proficiency in electrical and control systems for assembly stations.
- Ability to work with automation, robotics, and state-of-the-art technology in a manufacturing environment.
- Self-motivated, fast learner, and team player with a proven track record of success.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications are a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical abilities.
Interview Process:
- Candidates selected will undergo an in-person plant tour of the assembly and test area, followed by a panel interview.
