JOB DESCRIPTION : ASSEMBLER

Primary Function :
Assembles various prefabricated items to create a truck bed
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to) :
Inspects parts for quality and use prior to installation
Inspects and tests all parts throughout the creation process
Assembles various parts during the process of the finished product
Uses various manual and power tools to assemble parts
Uses gauges to inspect and assemble parts
Wears all safety equipment (helmets, safety glasses, gloves, long sleeves, ear plugs, back belts, aprons, etc.) as required by management and company safety policy
Maintains a clean work area
All other duties assigned management
Skills :
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Qualifications :
Ability to visually inspect product
Must be able to comprehend and apply established workmanship standards
Physical Requirements :
Must be able to sit up to 10 hours daily (75-100%)
Must be able to stand up to 2 hours daily (0 – 25%)
Must be able to pick up fractional sizes of parts with fingers frequently (75-100%)
Must be able to walk, climb, reach, stoop, bend, kneel, squat and twist frequently (0 – 25%)
Must be able to rotate wrists (75-100%) and shoulders (0-25%) frequently
Must be able to use hands for repetitive twisting, grasping, pushing, pulling and manipulation (75-100%)
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds (33-66%) and occasionally lift 50 to 75 pounds (0-33%) or greater with assistance
