We are seeking a Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, safety compliance, and seamless logistics. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and hands-on involvement in all warehouse activities.
Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse Lead
Warehouse Operations Management
- Lead and oversee daily warehouse lead operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Ensure proper organization of goods to maximize storage space and maintain efficiency.
- Develop and implement improved warehouse lead processes to enhance workflow and productivity.
- Monitor inventory levels, preventing shortages or overstocking.
Warehouse Lead Team Supervision
- Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse associates, ensuring high performance and efficiency.
- Provide ongoing training on warehouse procedures, equipment handling, and safety protocols.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set clear expectations, and provide regular feedback to team members.
Warehouse Lead Inventory Control & Accuracy
- Implement inventory tracking systems to ensure stock accuracy and availability.
- Perform regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Work closely with purchasing and sales teams to manage stock replenishment and product availability.
Warehouse Lead Safety & Compliance
- Enforce all safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
- Conduct safety training and regular drills to reduce workplace risks.
Warehouse Lead Logistics & Shipping Coordination
- Oversee preparation and shipment of orders, ensuring accuracy and timely dispatch.
- Coordinate with external transport companies to guarantee on-time deliveries.
- Address and resolve any shipping errors or delays efficiently.
Warehouse Lead Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate warehouse operations for efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
- Implement industry best practices, technology solutions, and process enhancements.
- Identify and resolve operational challenges to optimize overall performance.
Warehouse Lead Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or a related leadership role.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and warehouse management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) and inventory control systems.
