What are the responsibilities and job description for the Videographer and Editor position at Kassiyet Dance Foundation?
I am looking for a skilled videographer based in Manhattan to collaborate on a regular basis (3 times a week) for creating high-quality content tailored for Instagram. The ideal candidate should have a strong portfolio in dance, fashion, and beauty content and be able to capture both choreographed and candid moments with an artistic and engaging style.
Requirements:
- Must own a professional camera (preferably mirrorless or DSLR with high-resolution video capability).
- Experience in shooting dance, fashion, and beauty content is a plus.
- Ability to shoot in various settings: indoors, outdoors, studios, and city locations.
- Comfortable with filming BTS (behind-the-scenes) content.
- Available to attend events and capture moments as needed.
- Knowledge of basic lighting techniques for both natural and artificial light setups.
- Understanding of Instagram trends, short-form content, and storytelling through video.
- Familiarity with slow-motion, close-ups, and dynamic movement shots for high-impact visuals.
- Ability to direct and guide on posing, framing, and movement for the best results.
- Fast turnaround time for raw footage delivery (same day or next day preferred).
- Basic editing skills are a plus but not required.
Schedule & Location:
- 3 times a week (flexible scheduling based on availability and content planning).
- Shoots will take place in various Manhattan locations (indoors and outdoors).
- Occasional event coverage as required.
Compensation:
