Legal Assistant
Kaster, Lynch, Farrar, & Ball, LLP specializes in product liability personal injury law. The firm works diligently to help their clients receive fair compensation for injuries caused by defective products and negligence. To further this effort, we are looking for a Legal Assistant to support attorneys and paralegals by providing administrative and research support including daily office coordination, document preparation and review, case and trial support.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
· Assist the paralegal team with preparing and organizing legal documents
· Maintain and update case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and accessible
· Trial preparation support
· Monitor and maintain office calendar and confer with staff about upcoming deadlines, court events, and attorney required appearances
· Schedule depositions
· Prepare attorneys for depositions and hearings

· Previous experience in a legal assistant, administrative assistant, or receptionist role preferred
· Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters preferred but not required
Education & Experience:
· College degree preferred; will consider those currently enrolled in a degree program and/or completion of some post-secondary coursework
· Relevant certification(s) will be considered in lieu of education
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
