As our Data Engineer / DBA , you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Kastle’s data infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. You will play a key role in both day-to-day database operations and in building the architecture that enables us to leverage our data for business insights and scalable solutions. This is a critical role within the organization, as we are shifting towards modernizing our infrastructure, removing business logic from stored procedures, and expanding our capabilities in data analytics and automation.

Responsibilities
Database Administration :
- Monitor and maintain database systems (MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL) for optimal performance, security, and availability.
- Manage backups, disaster recovery plans, and high availability solutions to ensure system resilience.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., SOC2, GDPR).
- Optimize database queries, stored procedures, and indexes for performance tuning and efficient data access.
- Perform capacity planning and recommend improvements to current systems.
