Who You Are
Join a dynamic team delivering high-quality care to our nation’s Veterans! We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Urologist to provide in-person clinical services at the Hershel “Woody” Williams VA Medical Center in Huntington, WV. This role is part of a federal contract supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs.
What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive urology services to Veteran patients.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the VA’s electronic health record system (CPRS/Vista).
- Collaborate with VA medical staff, provide consultative services, and support continuity of care.
- Participate in peer reviews, performance improvement, and mandatory VA trainings.
- Maintain availability for emergency care when on duty.
What You Bring
- MD or DO from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology.
- Active, unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory.
- DEA license, NPI number, ACLS/BLS certifications.
- U.S. citizenship required (Federal contract requirement).
- Ability to pass full VA credentialing and privileging process.
- Immunizations must be up to date, including COVID-19 vaccination.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience working with Veteran or military populations.
- Knowledge of VA systems (CPRS/Vista) a plus.
- Familiarity with federal contract healthcare delivery.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to complete:
- VA-supplied cybersecurity, HIPAA, and other annual training.
- Tuberculosis screening, PPD test, immunization record.
- Willingness to complete full background investigation and fingerprinting.
- Commitment to high-quality patient care and adherence to VA standards.
