What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemist II position at Katalyst Healthcares and Life Sciences?
Responsibilities :
Develop, analyze, and troubleshoot HPLC methods. Understand and apply different chromatographic modes (RPLC, NPLC, Polar organic, etc.) to optimize chromatographic separations.
Apply chromatographic software such as ChromSword, Drylab, and / or Fusion to optimize HPLC separations for deeper analysis.
Ensure GxP compliant delivery of high-quality data in a regulated environment.
Effectively communicate conclusions / findings to larger groups.
Develop protocols for more complex tests or experiments performed with less defined assays and parameters.
Familiarity with ChromSword, Drylab and / or Fusion.
Familiar with GMP / GLP standards and experience working in a regulated environment.
Requirements :
BS / BA in Chemistry, Chemical Engineer, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Biology or related field with minimum 2-5 yrs lab experience (pharmaceutical industry preferred) or Master's Degree.
Hands on HPLC method development and analysis with an understanding of different chromatographic modes (RPLC, NPLC, Polar organic, etc.) and theory.
Has some familiarity with chromatographic software (ChromSword, Drylab, Fusion, Chromeleon, Fusion) and / or has a strong desire to learn chromatographic software.
Capable of independently developing and troubleshooting analytical method development.
Familiarity of GMP / GLP and / or understanding of working in regulated environment.
Strong communication skills, able to present findings to larger groups.
Lab research experience (academic and / or industry) with proven-track record of lated environment.
