What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemist I position at Katalyst Healthcares & Life Sciences?
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine environmental wet chemistry tests on samples collected to monitor waste effluent and treatment plant performance.
- Troubleshoot experiments, instruments, and notate significant data deviations.
- Maintain chemical inventory system and order supplies accordingly.
- Sanction internal and external laboratories for the analysis of environmental samples.
- Communicate with stakeholders and issue results to internal customers.
- Execute tasks under minimal supervision in a GLP environment.
- Adhere to and support all EHS objectives, procedures, and policies.
- Background in chemistry and/or similar sciences (lab experience preferred).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel & Word.
- Attention to detail and great organizational skills.
- Be able to perform tasks independently under minimal supervision.
- Willingness to build customer relations and communicate with stakeholders.
