Responsibilities:
- Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering document, reports, and drawings (flow charts, block diagrams and schematics).
- Prepares reports and summaries, including quantitative analysis.
- Provides completion of technical tasks.
- Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
- Helps scope equipment for use and complete qualifications.
- Works with team to on general lab functions; including calibration, implementation of safety procedures, and routine equipment maintenance.
- Notifies manager or team lead upon recognition of factors that may affect project.
- Helps develop prototype processes and test set-ups.
- Executes designed test protocol and conducts testing.
- Effectively documents and communicates test results.
- Handles chemicals occasionally using provided protective equipment.
- Supports hardware debugging.
- A combination of equivalent education and experience.
- A minimum of training of high school or secondary school in a technical discipline with 2-4 years relevant experience in a relevant R&D setting.
- A technical degree such as B.S. degree 1-2 years of experience in a related field.
- Ability to understand and perform designed test procedures.
- The ability to work effectively in a cross functional group and communicate effectively with the lab team and extended team members.
- Develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
- Proficiency in personal computers.
- Ability to train lower-level technicians.
