We are looking for an experienced PLC Developer to design, develop, and maintain PLC programs for industrial automation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Rockwell automation, troubleshooting PLC programs, and integrating advanced automation technologies like SCARA robots and vision systems (Cognex/Keyence). This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, efficient, and compliant automation solutions for pharmaceutical, medical device, or industrial manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and implement PLC programs using Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) systems.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing PLC programs for enhanced performance and reliability.
- Integrate and configure SCARA robots and vision systems (Cognex/Keyence) for automation processes.
- Work on the seamless integration of automation systems with equipment and devices.
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams to ensure smooth communication between PLCs and other hardware.
- Assist in commissioning and startup activities for new automation systems.
- Support the development of validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) for PLC-controlled systems in pharmaceutical/medical device environments.
- Ensure compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 for electronic records and signatures.
- Adhere to NFPA-79 standards for the electrical safety of industrial machinery.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including User Requirement Specifications (URS), system design, and programming manuals.
- Record changes and updates to PLC programs and automation systems for traceability.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support to resolve PLC-related issues.
- Train and support maintenance teams on operating and troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in PLC programming and development, preferably with Rockwell Automation systems.
- Hands-on experience with SCARA robots, Cognex/Keyence vision systems, and machine troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) and compliance with 21 CFR Part 11.
- Knowledge of NFPA-79 standards and safety requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with other PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Mitsubishi).
- Knowledge of GAMP 5 guidelines for validation processes.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
