Position Introduction:
This is a full-time, permanent position, and an opportunity to work with a fun, family orientated organization in a growing company division. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the HR Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of administration for the USA Division.
Katch Kan continues to develop a portfolio of technologies which both optimizes and sustains resource recovery programs internationally.
Role Accountabilities:
- Communicates changes in personnel policies and procedures and ensures proper compliance is followed. Administers request-for-signature documents and ensure proper physical filing when legally necessary.
- Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities and ensuring timely execution of company initiatives.
- Administers USA employee benefit and retirement programs such as medical, dental, vision, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance. Quarterly and annually submitting data information to requesting government bodies.
- Hiring and Recruiting: Abiding by fair hiring practices, utilize sound judgement and previous team experience to review and analyze applicants. Collaborate with leaders, Draft and Post jobs, review, screen, and coordinate applicants throughout entire hiring process with leadership teams. Coordinates and files all related documents and interviews utilizing BambooHR ATS.
- Coordinates, schedules, and submits Background Checks, Drug & Alcohol tests, and Certification Training. Arranges onboarding agendas while working closely with leadership teams to ensure smooth and structured onboarding for new employees.
- Provides sound business judgement and ownership with unexpected, time sensitive tasks with the top priority of taking care of employees and the business.
- Prepares reports and recommends procedures to align and expedite processes.

Education & Experience:
- Prior experience in HR function and support
- Prior hiring and recruitment experience is an asset

- Demonstrates sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
- Experience in process mapping, project management, and/or business improvement processes asset.
Pre-Employment Requirements:

- Valid Driver’s License with a clean MVR/Driver abstract
- Must have reliable transportation
