What are the responsibilities and job description for the First Aid Director, Summer Spotlight Camp position at Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center?
Summer Spotlight, a creative theater intensive program for ages 11-13 is seekinga First Aid Director for 4 consecutive weeks during the 2025 summer: July 14-18, July 21-25, July 28-August 1 and August 4-8, Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 3:15pm.
The First Aid Director will provide necessary first aid and oversight of the administration of inhalers, Epi-Pens and medication for all campers. On the first day of each session, the First Aider will meet with parents of campers with specific medical needs and log each medication and device (inhaler, Epi-Pen). The First Aider will also log any medical incidents throughout the week to be submitted to the pediatrician in Essex every Friday afternoon, retrieving the journal on Monday morning after it has been signed. This position will also support the staff in a variety of structured activities to provide a quality summer arts experience for the campers.
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Requires current First Aid and CPR certification appropriate to the ages served by the camp (11-13)
- Experience working with children
