Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a nurturing and educational environment. The Daycare Assistant will teach and assist lead teacher in providing care and education for children in our daycare setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and developmental growth.
Responsibilities
- daily supervision of children in the daycare setting, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
- Support in implementing age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans.
- Foster positive relationships with children, promoting social skills and emotional development.
- Manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Provide care for toddlers and preschool-aged children, including diaper changes, feeding, and putting down for naps.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in childcare or caregiving is preferred (but not necessary)
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support children's development.
- Ability to educate/enterain children through play-based learning activities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with children and parents alike.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- A genuine love for working with young children and supporting their growth.
