Job Summary:
Katie's Way Plus is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Credential Specialist to support our clinic in maintaining compliance with credentialing and licensing requirements. This role is crucial in ensuring that our providers meet all necessary qualifications to deliver high-quality care. The Credential Specialist will be responsible for managing the credentialing process, verifying provider credentials, and ensuring adherence to state, federal, and insurance requirements. Location On-Site: 720 Poyntz Ave Manhattan, KS 66502
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate the credentialing and re-credentialing process for all licensed providers, including therapists, psychiatrists, and counselors.
Verify education, training, licensing, certifications, and work history for new and existing providers.
Maintain and update credentialing files and databases, ensuring all records are accurate and current.
Submit and track provider applications with insurance companies, managed care organizations, and regulatory agencies.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations related to credentialing and licensing.
Monitor expiration dates of licenses, certifications, and insurance paneling, and notify providers of upcoming renewals.
Assist with audits and inspections related to credentialing compliance.
Collaborate with providers, insurance carriers, and regulatory agencies to resolve credentialing issues.
Keep detailed records of credentialing activities and prepare reports as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in credentialing, healthcare administration, or a related field.
Familiarity with medical credentialing procedures, insurance paneling, and state licensing requirements.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and credentialing software.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance is preferred.
Work Schedule & Compensation:
Part-time position (approximately [20] hours per week).
