MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- US Army combat arms (primarily maneuver) qualified NCO; SFC (E7) or above.
- Graduate of the US Senior Leaders Course or greater or above.
- Direct maneuver operations staff NCO (S3) experience at the US Army BN or higher levels.
- Must be capable of planning, developing, articulating (written and verbal), and executing BCT combined arms/maneuver operations concepts.
- Possess a working knowledge and demonstrate the ability to achieve proficiency with Command Post of the Future (CPOF) and Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE).
- Possess a working knowledge and demonstrate the ability to achieve proficiency with hand-held radio systems (Harris XL-200P (P25) or equivalent).
- Possess a working knowledge and demonstrate the ability to achieve proficiency with tactical Frequency Modulation (FM) radio systems (Single-Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS) or equivalent).
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Power Point, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
- Must be able to maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure scenario consistency and fidelity.
- Must be able to effectively and independently research, develop, organize, and communicate diverse military operations concepts.
- Possess a good understanding of US Army Warning Order (WARNORD), Fragmentary Order (FRAGORD), and Operations Order (OPORD) content and composition.
- Must possess an understanding of commonly-used US military acronyms and terminology.
- Five (5) years Active Duty or Reserve experience commensurate with the position or 1 (1) year Operations Branch experience at the Joint Readiness Training Center.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be able to access Ft Johnson and other military facilities. (The base may require a Real ID. The Real ID Act of 2005 is an Act of Congress that modifies U.S. federal law pertaining to security, authentication, and issuance procedure standards for drivers' licenses and identity documents, as well as various immigration issues pertaining to terrorism. The federal Real ID Act places new rules on which forms of identification may be used to board flights within the United States (U.S.) and enter secure federal facilities, such as military bases, federal courthouses, and other federal facilities.)
DESIRED QIALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Individual must be adaptive, flexible, imaginative; able to work effectively in a time constrained and dynamically changing environment.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Recent operations experience as a deployed maneuver operations staff NCO (S3/G3/J3), US Army BCT or higher level JTF operating in the USINDOPACOM, USCENTCOM, or USAREUR-AF theater within the past 5 years.
- Previous CTC operations exercise design or CTC Observer Controller/Trainer (OC/T); Maneuver Brigade Operations Staff NCO (S3) experience.
- Prior Senior NCO that is digital master gunner certified or very proficient in using Army Mission Command Systems.
- Battle Staff Qualified.
- Must be capable of planning, coordinating, synchronizing, and executing BCT tactical operations ISO 21 ABN or higher level JTF combat operations.
- Proficient in MS Office programs and functional computer skills.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with employees and management team.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
- Ability to coordinate several activities at once, quickly analyzes and resolves specific problems, and copes with deadlines effectively.
- Active duty or Reserve experience in U.S. Army Combat Arms Military Occupational Specialty (MOS).
- Graduation from Officer Basic, Advance Course, Advance NCO Course, or Battle Staff Course preferred.
- Associate Degree or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with employees and management team.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
- Ability to coordinate several activities at once, quickly analyzes and resolves specific problems, and copes with deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in MS Office programs and functional computer skills.
- Adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- This position will be subject to random drug screening.
WORK SCHEDULE
Regular schedule full time. Ability to work shift work with extended hours, up to 12 hours per shift. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project. Rotational training exercises are approximately 14 to 21 days in length.

- Must be able to travel unaccompanied to continental US and foreign locations.
- Travel, up to 10% of the time, may be required.

Position consists of sitting for long periods of time. Frequently uses hands/fingers for manipulation of keyboard and mouse. Must be able to see up close and distinguish colors and patterns.
