Procurement Coordinator

Assist the Supply Chain Manager and Operations Team with supplier negotiations, material receipt, purchasing, quality control, and other related tasks to ensure optimal workflow. Build strong relationships with vendors, maintain clear communication, and promote accountability to achieve better material costs, supply, and service.

Job Requirements

• Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the US Sourcing Project by identifying and prioritizing products to be made in the US, selecting vendors for quotes, samples, and purchases
• Identify key vendors and establish strong working relationships, ensuring agreements are in place and expectations are met. Visit vendors as needed to demonstrate commitment and foster long-lasting partnerships
• Continuously monitor material and product costs to ensure consistent profitability and availability.
• Communicate cost trends to Sales & Marketing Manager to align pricing strategies with material supply and costs.
• Ensure that received products and materials meet quality standards
• Collaborate with internal teams to complete project-specific tasks for custom projects, specific programs, product development, or new product launches
• Develop processes, streamline workflows, and continually enhance the framework to support rapid business growth, including creating supplier KPI reports to track on-time delivery, quality, and QA metrics
• Assist in preparing an estimated monthly purchase budget for management purposes
• Create, send, receive, and process purchase orders as required, ensuring timely delivery of products and materials while holding vendors accountable. This includes scheduling shipments by land, air, or sea.
• Work with the drafting team on production drawings and share them with approved vendors to obtain quotes.
• Assist the Controller with accounts payable invoicing questions, vendor shipping requests, and vendor capability assessments.
• Other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 3 years previous experience in procurement, supply chain, and inventory in a manufacturing setting highly preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent, BS degree from accredited college or university preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, ERP system required preferably Infor Syteline
• Highly organized, ability to multitask, and ability to keep accurate records
• Superior communication skills both written and verbal
