Qualifications:
College hours for Title I campus 48 required or 464 on the ParaPro test
College hours, high school diploma or GED for Non-Title I campus
Proficient keyboarding, word processing, and file maintenance skills
Ability to maintain strict discipline
Maintain an effective working environment
Communicate and work with students
Ability to work independently
Experience in working with students
Valid Texas educational aide certificate

Primary Purpose:
Assist with ISS/AEP as assigned
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keep attendance and records of students entering and leaving the campus ISS.
- Supervise students’ work which includes administering tests and tutoring, as needed.
- Oversee character education activities as prescribed by campus administration.
- Maintain strict discipline in order to provide students with a strictly controlled atmosphere for learning.
- Assist in obtaining assignments from teachers and delivering student work to teachers.
- Attend all faculty and in-service meetings.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student membership in ISS.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Equipment Used:
Personal computer, typewriter, printer, copier, and fax machine.
Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress.
