Reports To: Coordinator for Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Vision Services, and Assistive Technology
Duty Days: 187 Days
Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Grade: AS02

Qualifications:
College hours, high school diploma or GED
Proficient typing, word processing, and file maintenance skills
Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
General office management
Must have working knowledge in use of database and spreadsheet programs
Prefer experience with technology tools such as iPads or tablets
Able to accept direction and willingness to learn new skills
Ability to solve problems
Positive attitude
Self-disciplined with a strong work ethic
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility in ability to shift focus on priority tasks when necessary
Own reliable transportation to get to/from different campuses as needed
Paraprofessional aide certificate required once employed
Primary Purpose:
Provide assistance to the Assistive Technology Team
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily responsibilities of the AT team by assuming management of referrals and completing necessary steps for documentation, delivery and filing of completed referrals. (Including management of AT student database.) Communication with campuses and AT Facilitators for requests as needed.
- Assist in the daily maintenance and updating of database for AT student database, equipment inventory database (non-trackable items), devices/tablets and applications.
- To create track and process purchase orders for AT staff.
- Troubleshoot devices and software issues on the campus level as needed.
- Communicate and work collaboratively with the members of the AT team to address needs across the district.
- Assist with management and maintenance of documentation for devices in need of repair. Communication and follow up with vendors will be required.
- Assist with the delivery and retrieval of dedicated student devices and equipment to and from tech support as needed.
- Assist with the delivery and retrieval of dedicated devices and equipment for students on campuses as needed.
- Assist in the maintenance of inventory including ordering materials and supplies.
- Work collaboratively with district Technology personnel.
- Track student dedicated AT devices using the district management system. Daily communication with the AT Team Leader.
- Other duties as assigned.
Equipment Used:
Personal computer, printer, copier, and fax machine.
Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing; stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling; lifting, district wide travel.
